If you are running Sonic Message Manager with Java version 1.6.0_10 or later, the update policy for Sonic Message Manager has been changed.
Java Web Start will now check for updates in the background, while starting the application. When an update has been found, you will be informed of this the next time you start the application and you will have the option to install it.
This improves startup times because the update check is no longer done before starting the app. It should also dramatically improve startup time when you are not connected to the internet.

It’s been a while since I’ve released a new version of Sonic Message Manager, but I hope this was worth the wait. The new 2.0 version introduces Topic support and also fixes the following issues:
- 87: Auto-refreshing the queues now works on all tabs
- 113: Allow connecctions to multiple brokers at the same time
- 114: Switching connections doesn’t always work
- 120: Allow the user to specify TimeToLive when sending messages
- 132: Clear broker combobox while changing connection
- 133: Disconnect button
- 134: Can’t see manual when starting SMM
- 135: Merge about tab with help tab
- 138: Copy (or drag) multiple queues to a text editor
Aside from these recorded changes, there are also a massive amount of small things that didn’t get a mention in here. I hope you will enjoy the new version!

As of now, Sonic Message Manager 2.0 is feature complete and it will enter beta stage now. I urge everyone to try the nightly build because of this.
Everything in there should work as expected and without errors. If it does not, please inform me of the problems. Without major issues, Sonic Message Manager 2.0 will be released one week from today.
